This Optical Illusion was a personal piece, commenced on 11 January 2025 and completed on 4 February 2025. It was created for a cheeky Valentine's gift.

Cross-stitches for the pattern. The white aida remained nude, to allow the stitched pattern to sit higher so that the illusion could be easier identified.
The success of the illusion relies entirely on Linear Consistency. Because the message is hidden within a rhythmic sequence of stitches, any deviation in tension or a single misplaced 'X' would break the visual field.
