The Fine Print

Studio Location

• Clotho by Theophora operates from a private residential studio. For privacy and security reasons, in-person visits are not offered.

Pickup & Drop-off

• All local handovers are arranged off-site or via tracked shipping. Pick up and drop-off details will be confirmed once a booking is accepted.

• Submission of an Intake Form does not guarantee acceptance. All projects are reviewed to ensure they are suitable for completion within the studio's scope and standards.

• Clotho by Theophora reserves the right to decline a project at its discretion.

• Pricing is based on the volume, complexity, and condition of the work required, not on time spent. Quotes reflect the nature of the project and the level of intervention involved.

• Each piece is assessed individually.

Deposits

• A non-refundable $85 deposit is required to secure a booking. Work will not commence until the deposit has been received.

Final Payment

• The remaining balance is due prior to return shipping or off-site handover.

Materials

• Any additional materials required to complete a project will be discussed prior to use.

Leftover Materials

• Clients may request the return of specific materials when completing the Intake Form.

• Every reasonable care is taken while items are in the studio's custody. However, due to the nature of textile and craft work, inherent risks may exist.

• In the unlikely event that an item is damaged while in Theophora's care, liability is limited to a refund of the deposit paid. No further compensation is offered.

Uncollected Items

• Completed items must be collected or shipped within 30 days of completion notification. Items not collected within this timeframe may incur storage fees or be considered abandoned.

Cross-stitch is a textile medium and existing wear, age, or prior damage may affect the outcome of the finished piece.

• Updates will be provided at key stages of the project.

• Due to the nature of focused studio work, continuous progress updates may not be provided.

• Client information is collected solely for the purpose of assessing, completing, and returning your cross-stitch piece.

• Personal information is not sold, trade, or shared with third parties, except where necessary to deliver the service (for example, shipping providers or invoicing platforms).

• Project information, photographs, and correspondence are stored securely using reputable cloud-based services (including Google Workpsace tools such as Forms, Drive, Sheets, and Photos) to enable documentation, planning, and progress updates.

• These services may store data on servers located outside New Zealand and operate under their own security and privacy standards. Theophora takes reasonable steps to ensure client information is handled with care and discretion at all times.

• Clients may request access to correction of, or deletion of their personal information at any time, subject to record-keeping and legal obligations.

• With your explicit consent, images of your cross-stitch pieces may be used by Theophora for progress documentation, marketing, or social media.

• Consent is optional and can be withheld at any time without affecting the completion of your project.

• If you wish to withdraw consent at any time, contact us directly. Clotho will remove your images from future marketing or social media posts as quickly as reasonably possible.

• Please note: It may not be possible to remove images already published or shared externally. Further, images published online may not be possible to fully retract from all external platforms.
